Room of the Week: A room covered wooden bath luxury - New York City Chappaqua, a hamlet in northern Westchester County, New York, is filled with historic houses including that purchased by Bill and Hillary Clinton in 1999. More recently, Dana and Mike Kraus bought a 1920s house Tudor for their family of five. Its renovated main bathroom has a window style inspired by local and international design.

a few years in the neighboring town of Beacon, New York, Strianese renovated a charming hotel and restaurant which included a series of custom pendant lights made by Niche - an international company based in Beacon lighting. When it came time to choose the devices to the bathroom, Dana showed a picture of a faucet Strianese was already familiar with and excited to use. "There are two years, I took a vacation in Scandinavia and fell in love with the design of the region," says the designer. "When the Vola faucet Dana showed me, I knew we had found the perfect accessories for the room.
The Scandinavian designed faucets were selected in a non-lacquered brass that begins to develop a patina soon as it comes out of its packaging.

with an eye toward one day growing old in their home, Dana and Mike wanted a large open without sidewalks shower to they can get in and out of it with ease.

the trough basin onyx doesn 't have much room for a soap dish or toothbrush, so Strianese had a great niche carved oak white coating to create the storage and display space. The two medicine cabinets are recessed, providing additional storage.
